  • 1 c butter, softened

  • 1 c sugar (omit if using canned apple pie filling)

  • 1 c flour

  • 1 c oatmeal

  • 1/4 tsp baking powder

  • 1/2 tsp pie spice

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 350°F. Butter a 9×13 inch, baking dish or spray with nonstick cooking spray. Set aside.

Make spiced apple

  • In a mixing bowl, add apples, sugar, cinnamon, and salt.

Make Topping

  • In a separate mixing bowl, add topping ingredients.

  • Use a pastry cutter to cut the butter into the oat mixture, using a slight downward, twisting motion until mixture resembles Pea sized crumbs. Alternatively, you can use two forks or even your hands to cut butter into the mixture.
